The International busplaner Sustainability Award was awarded for the fourth time in 2019. This year's winner in the Service and Spare Parts Category is e-troFit. The concept is the result of a cooperation between ZF Aftermarket and engineering company in-tech.

Their partnership focuses on reducing greenhouse gas emissions in city traffic by converting buses within the public transport system from conventional drives to environmentally friendly electric drives.

The e-troFit concept from in-tech relies on modular, individual solutions. First, the developers analyze the route plan, then design a tailor-made driveline including the necessary battery power. Simultaneously, in-tech also supports municipalities with planning of the right charging strategy and infrastructure as well as employee training. As the systems supplier, ZF Aftermarket contributes the necessary vehicle components and offers access to its global workshop network for the conversion work.

ZF Aftermarket and the future of mobility

e-troFit is just one of many examples that illustrate how ZF Aftermarket is sustainably shaping tomorrow's mobility today: with a combination of innovative technologies and tailor-made service concepts.

About the award

Every year, publisher huss-verlag organizes a ceremony for the award of the International busplaner Sustainability Award. The independent, high-caliber jury selects winners in various categories, including electric bus, CNG bus, hybrid bus, concept bus, mini and midibus, coach and hydrogen bus.

Companies are invited to submit their concepts. To apply for the award, they provide descriptions of the sustainable product or service as well as the ecological and social challenges they faced, plus an explanation of their own sustainability strategy.

This year's International busplaner Sustainability Award was presented in Marshall House at the Berlin trade show.
