How a gearshift is working
Coupling by piston pressure
In today's video I will show you the basic components of a clutch, as used in gear shifts and brakes. In the transmission, the shifting elements are coupled by piston pressure and set in synchronous motion. In the brake, rotation is stopped by coupling with the fixed transmission housing.
