A Winning Streak

ZF has a long history of supporting motorsports, starting from the legendary Silver Arrows by Mercedes in the 1930s. Today, from Formula 1 to WRC and DTM, ZF technology and products are put to the ultimate test in the toughest races in the world. In 2016, teams equipped with ZF products secured more than 600 race wins worldwide.

In Formula 1, the royal league of motorsports, the racing cars of Scuderia Ferrari – the most successful team in Formula 1 history – as well as the vehicles of Sauber Ferrari, Lotus and Toro Rosso drive with shock absorbers and clutches from ZF.

ZF has been a partner of BMW Motorsport in Formula 1 and Formula BMW since 2002. Since 2003, ZF has partnered with Volkswagen Motorsport to provide the shock absorbers and the clutch for several Volkswagen race cars.

2013 saw the beginning of a technical partnership with TOYOTA Racing for the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC). In the same year , we became an official partner of the Super GT racing series in Japan, under which ZF Race Engineering equips many of the participating teams in GT500 and GT 300 with high-tech clutches.

What does this mean for drivers in Asia? The knowledge that when they choose ZF parts, they can count on the same superior performance on the road that the top race cars in the world enjoy on the track.
